Who We Are
We are Steve, Colleen and our four children.
We all enjoy animals and have had a dog as long as our children have been around. Several years ago, our outside dog Annie (an English Shepherd) disappeared. We found out how painful it is to lose your furry, four legged family member. We were without a pet for about a year. When we decided to replace Annie, we made the shift from an outside pet to an inside pet. Several of our friends had Poodles or Yorkies, and we really enjoyed their pets so we purchased our first Poodle. Following through with the desire to breed our pet has moved us into breeding several Poodles and Yorkshire Terriers. The void of a larger outside pet has most recently been filled with a beautiful Golden Retriever. We love all our puppies- little ones and big ones.
We are located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. We are just off I-77 (exit 83) approximately one hour north of Charlotte and 40 minutes northwest of Winston-Salem.
We have Poodle puppies, Yorkshire Terrier puppies, Yorkie-Poo puppies, and Golden Retriever puppies.
We breed “pet quality” animals. Our puppies are absolutely beautiful with show potential, but we have no intention to show our dogs although you are welcome to do so with one of our puppies. Our breeding is a family endeavor, and some of the dogs belong to our children. This enables them to learn responsibility and earn a little money of their own.
All our pets are AKC or CKC registered. In fact, most of them are registered with both registries.
Our Poodles and Yorkies are Toy in size. They range from 4.5 pounds up. Our mommy dogs usually throw puppies which mature between 5 to 9 pounds, however, we do have “teacup” puppies at times as well. The registries do not recognize the teacup. Teacup is a breeder’s term to identify a very small dog (under 5 pounds when grown). Although some breeders have been successful with this, we do not breed teacup females since the risks in birth are increased. In an attempt to avoid birthing risks, we have chosen to breed females no less than 6.5 pounds. If you are specifically looking for a teacup, we may have the puppy for you since we do have tiny puppies born in our litters.
Whether a toy, a teacup, or a big fluffy Golden, all our puppies are adorable and are looking to become a part of a great home like your home.
